sanctuary of Illum (Feb 8th 2007) (Prelude to the Dark Fortress)

From the Writings of Historian  Cire Darb   from the collected myths of the Swohs Vallery Elders

The Pineappleman looked completely perplexed.  Frustrated –he asked again.
"What is this place?"  And why have we seen no men?"

The stunning Blonde girl from the couch turned toward him and responded.
"This is the Sanctuary of Illum"

"Yes ---I got that part already"  --The Pineappleman said

She just kept talking as if he hadn't interrupted.    "It is a place for rest and relaxation----Join us for some food and drink and recover from what appears to have been a difficult journey"

The Pineappleman just shook his head.

Fallon spoke now.  "Are you girls here alone?   What about protection?  This town lays on the edge of a dangerous jungle filled with wild predators."

She answered back.  "We have created our own ideal society.   We are ex-harem girls freed from our former masters  that have moved here to have a place of our own.  We were very fortunate to find a place filled with beauty to match our own and the valley beyond this palace is plentiful with all the food we could ever need to survive.  We occasionally trade with travelers in exchange for everything else that we need and we are kept from harm through an agreement with our neighbors that have sworn to protect us from the dangers you speak of."
"Relax"----said the Dark haired girl on the couch  "We have plenty of rooms for your men to rest and we will have a feast at sundown------Then you can ask us all the questions you have and we can discuss anything you have that we might trade for"

Then the Red Head called out to the beautiful Brunette they had first seen when they entered the town.  "Sunrise   ---Please show these men where they can freshen up and stay for the evening"
The Brunette  slowly placed down the bowl of flowers she had been holding and walked toward the Pineappleman.  She looked up at him with her beautiful brown eyes –then took his hand and began to lead the group back out of the palace.
