From the writing of Nalla Mann--Bartender of the Bloody Nall Tavern
The fire quickly made its way up the stairway closing in on the men trapped between their shipmates corpse and the approaching flames. They had three choices abandon ship ---be shot or burn to death. As the point of decision drew closer-each man made up his own mind---All but one choose to leap over the side of the boat in the river. The one remaining man ran out at the Pineappleman his pants already engulfed in flames and he was instantly shot down his body now covered in fire and he rolled around on the deck. The fire continued toward the Pineappleman. He had to get into the Wheelhouse without getting himself shot again and get the book away from the Fat Man’s son before they both burned to death.
