He ran headlong into the darkness in the direction of the scream with machete drawn and scraping along the rock wall as he speed down the dark passageway. He turned a corner in the tunnel and slipped and fell to the hard stone floor. He pushed himself into a crouch. He hands were covered in blood. He could see a flicker of light up ahead in the passageway and heard the slam of an iron gate locking. From the point of light he heard the voice of the Fat Man's son.
"So long Pineappleman—I hope Monks enjoy dinner". Then the light faded further down the tunnel. Kandu had caught up with him and lit a torch that lay on the ground. As the light shined on the Pineappleman he looked over to see the decapitated body of his friend Max
