Temple of the Monks (04/22/2007)

From the writing of Nalla Mann --Bartender of the Bloody Nall Tavern

The chanting continued –the Monks swayed back and forth . Kandu crawled up to the Pineappleman's side and whispered "What is it you see?"

The Pineappleman slunk back down to Kandu a look "Some type of ceremony—we should try and find the prisoners while they are occupied"

"Wait ---look" Kandu said.

The Pineappleman looked back over the edge. The Monks that had first appeared to be praying had not been praying at all. The bent over Monks had been feasting on the figure on the tablet. They were feasting on the flesh of what appeared to be a man. His body was tied down to the tablet as the Monks dug into his flesh with their fingernails and small knives. The man was still alive and would have been screaming had his mouth no been gagged with cloth. With blood dripping from their lips the chanting grew in intensity as the feast continued, Then the chanting subsided and the Monks stepped away and joined the Monks lining the room. Several workers entered the room and removed the body from the tablet. The chanting briefly stopped.

Kandu and the Pineappleman backed away from the ledger and looked at each other. Then Kandu voiced the obvious with a look of shock "The Monks are Cannibals?"
