Temple of Monks (5/14/2007)

From the writing of Nalla Mann  --Bartender of the Bloody Nall Tavern

Four of the men lifted the heavy wooden bar and carried it over to the locked door.  The stairwell echoed like a thunderous beast as the sound of dozens of Monks footfalls pounded against its stone steps.  Just as the locked door burst open angry hooded figured began pouring into the room charging the Pineappleman and the line of men with weapons ready.
"Go now"  the Pineappleman yelled as he raised his machete to meet the first of the men.  Max lead the way through the passage behind the smashed door-followed by the Fat Man's son.  Kandu was charging over to help the Pineappleman fight of the Monks  --but the Pineappleman just signaled for him to follow Max instead.  The line of men were slicing away at their foes holding back the horde of bloodthirsty Monks as they hit the small space at the bottom of the stairs. The Monks fought with small sharpened knives which were no match for the longer blades that most of the men carried. –but the shear numbers of the Monks would soon overwhelm them.  The mass of Monks began to push the line back slowing away from the stairwell.  Over his shoulder The Pineappleman could see Kandu entering the doorway pulling the cabinet back in front of it.
