They arrived back at the banks of the river. The boat with the rest of his men was arriving just as he caught up with Kandu and the freed captives. They had come back when they had seen the fires burning in the camp. With the help of the men they quickly salvaged one of the boats on the shoreline. Mona had foolishly gone after her husband when he had been sent downriver. Her brother unable to stop her did all that he could to help keep her safe –and it had cost him his life. He paid several of the men and order them to take Mona and the freed captives back to civilization. As the boat was about to head out
Mona came running over to him. "Find him" She yelled tears pouring out of her eyes. "Find him and keep him safe".
"I will" The Pineappleman said "I will"
